Hyperpigmentation is a term used to describe dark patches on the skin, caused by the over production of melanin.
This can be down to sun exposure, acne scarring or more complex hormonal changes during pregnancy or the use of some medications. Some of the words used to describe hyperpigmentation are sun spots, age spots, melasma and chloasma. Here at Eterno Aesthetics we have various treatments and skincare products that can be used to treat and reduce the appearance of hyperpigmentation.
