Why do I need multiple treatments?

How many sessions are required?
Hair is reduced with each treatment and results are observed after four to six sessions. The number of sessions will differ depending on your hair colour, hair type, body area and skin tone.
Do I need a consultation before booking a treatment?
Yes, you’ll meet with one of our aesthetic nurses at our Broadfield Road-based skin clinic in Sheffield for a pre-treatment patch test to assess your skin and so we can discuss the best-suited treatment options. It isn’t possible to book your laser hair removal treatment the same day.
Which areas of the body can be treated?
Diolaze can be safely used on most areas of the body that have unwanted hair. Most commonly treated areas include the bikini line, legs, arms, chest, back, shoulders, stomach, neck, chin and sideburns.
Is there any downtime following treatment?
- Avoid using seat warmers and heating immediately after treatment.
- Avoid significant sun exposure or tanning beds for approximately 4 weeks post-treatment.
- Avoid any additional laser treatments or chemical procedures on the treated area for at least 2 weeks.
- Use moisturiser or aloe vera on the treated area for 1 – 2 days following your treatment.
- Cool towels or ice packs can be used for any post-treatment discomfort.
- In the rare case you experience side effects, such as hypo- or hyper-pigmentation, prolonged redness, swelling or blistering, please contact the clinic.
- If blisters happen to occur, do NOT puncture.
- If the skin is broken, apply antibiotic ointment until healed.
- To achieve the best results, complete the full treatment schedule at the recommended intervals (typically 4 – 6 weeks).
- You should not perform any physical activity that increases body temperature or blood pressure within 2 hours before and after treatment.
- Use an SPF moisturiser daily (with factor 30+) and for at least 4 weeks post treatment, but ideally ongoing for best results.
